moving

we're moving in two weeks.

not far away.

it's up to the university village so that dallin can be closer to school and we can have more space.

we're excited about having a bigger place, but we're very sad to be leaving murray. we have so many wonderful friends in the ward and we're comfortable here. thinking about leaving makes me want to cry.

now, all i have to do is pack our life up. get rid of things we don't need and somehow try to fit into boxes all the things we do need. i guess i should be grateful that we don't have to move to another state (just yet), but this doesn't really make me feel any better.

any suggestions on how to make the move easier or more efficient?

  1. NOOOOOOOO! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! I am screaming in protest! I am totally not ok with the situation. You can't leave. Who will help me break into my own apartment when I lock myself out?

But...I get it. The University Village is a pretty sweet set up and you'll have plenty of space. I will miss you guys terribly. Just remember to keep up on the blog so that I can stay up to date on your lives. Love you guys!

  2. I wish I had advice for you. We have moved 5 times in the (almost) 6 years we've been married and it never gets easier or more efficient. I guess I'm just not a very organized person.

  3. We definitely need to keep in touch. You're such a fun girl Becki, and I'll want to see pictures as your sweet babies grow up. We'll miss you so much!! (And if you need more boxes, just let me know. I think my sister has a bunch of big ones she's been saving.)

  4. We're moving in a couple weeks too. My advice would be... I love those space saver vacuum shrinking storage bags for blankets/clothes. We also always put our clothes in garbage bags (pull the hangers through the top like a dry cleaner bag) because they go from one closet to the next- why go to all the work of putting them in boxes? Grocery stores and ksl are great places to get boxes. And best of all- leave the kids with grandma for one long day and between you and hubby just get all of the unpacking done so you don't have to drag it out while you juggle kids after you move in. Hope that helps a little- I was kind of just writing my own to do list!
